Vista - Remote Desktop clipboard doesn't work

Hello,

I was RDP'ing from a Vista Business laptop to a Windows 2003 machine and the copy/paste feature does not work. I checked the RDP settings and under Advanced, the Clipboard is checked as a shared item. I RDP'd using an XP machine I have, and the copy/paste function works properly, leading me to believe it is something on this Vista machine.

Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening? Or any ideas that I could try out because I am out of ideas. Thanks!

bump. I've been troubleshooting this for weeks - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - no rhyme or reason. If anyone finds a solution, _please_ let me know!

I had the same problem, using remote destop on my new windows7 pc. The way I solved it was to allow the use of local storage. I did that because i thought "well if I cannot copy/paste in and out of the remotedesktop window, i'll just paste it on the local harddrive IN the remotedesktop". But after that, the copy/paste also worked... strange but true. try it.
