I e 8

Hi Guys

Installed I E 8 and all looks very nice. However certain things are now not working properly. The main one is Facebook. Is this coincidence or are other people having a similar problem ?. Windows Media Player is also going a bit haywire by not playing random selections . Have not had any problems before so it looks like the Beta I E 8 is not compatible with vbista at this moment. Can anybody tell me how to uninstall I E8 and go back to 7

cheers arry

Hi arry,

Take a look at the following thread http://www.vistax64.com/vista-news/177736-internet-explorer-8-beta-2-now-available.html. This contains a lot of information and links regarding IE8, including the feedback link https://connect.microsoft.com/IE. As you have noted, IE8 is still in Beta at this time and, as such, is likely to have the odd bug or two still in the code which would explain your problems. Another thing is that sites, such as 'Facebook', are going to have to update themselves in order to be compatible with IE8. As regards uninstalling IE8, you should be able to via 'System Restore'.

Hi Arry,

Theres also a "Compatible View: button located next to the Refresh button and also found under the tools menu, You can make websites run as Compatibility Mode (IE7) to enable sites like facebook to work with IE8;)
