| Vista Ultimate x64 | File sharing with spaces My computer name is EVOLUTION. Sharing a folder in XP was very easy, just right click, share, and that's it. On my other computers, if i wanted to connect to a folder, i would just type this into the run dialog: \\EVOLUTION\Pictures \\EVOLUTION\Pictures 2 \\EVOLUTION\Pictures 3 Etc, and it worked fine. However now when i share a folder in Vista, other clients on my network cannot connect to: \\EVOLUTION\Pictures 2 \\EVOLUTION\Pictures 3 Instead of actually going to folder #2 and #3, they get sent to \\EVOLUTION\Pictures Why is this? The only way i can fix it is by renaming the folders to "Pictures_2" and "Pictures_3"... Also, can i completely skip clients having to log in with a guest account? Can't clients on my network go straight to the folder, without ever being presented with a log in box? Thanks. P.S. I am using Vista Ultimate x64. |
