New BIOS = wireless problems?

I recently purchased a new mother board (MSI K9A2 Platinum), Had it working fine all morning until it asked me to up date my BIOS, which I did.

Now I can no longer connect to the internet as I had been beforehand. My "connect to a network" window shows that it recognizes the network and I have excellent signal strength, I can even connect to my network, it's horribly slow but does eventually connect. after I am connected identifying takes a few min. and it ends with only local access. all other computers wireless or not in this house have not lost connection.(same router)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, reset the modem, attempted to get "new IP info from router, amongst all other windows trouble shooting tools. (the network is also unsecured)

Edit: It seems I have some internet access for I am receiving windows updates and the weeks weather threw rainmeter.

Any help would be amazing thank you.
~Jon.
