Hi Experts,

I am using the Vista Home Premium 32bit with the IE7. My problem is that I want to change the whole title text displayed in the title bar of IE7. For example I used to get the title text as "Google-Internet Explorer provided by Dell" when I open www.google.com.
I am able to change the text "Internet Explorer provided by Dell" to some other text through the settings in the "regedit". My question is how can i change the text "Google".
Sometimes I used get the whole link "http://www.google.com/ - Internet Explorer provided by Dell". How can i remove this link.
Kindly guide me how to do these settings.

Thanks a lot
Best Regards,
Samm

My Computer

  1. Click Start and then Run.
  2. Key in regedit in the Run text box.
  3. Navigate to and select the following key in the Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
    Internet Explorer\Main
  4. Double-click the Window Title icon in the right pane.
  5. If the key doesn’t exist, right-click in the pane, then choose New, String Value, type Window Title, and press .
  6. Type what you want to see on IE’s title bar, or type nothing to show only the site name.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close Registry Editor and any Internet Explorer’s windows.

Now how can you prevent this?

Easy.

Don't install Google Desktop or Google Toolbar.
