Expl 7 crash when using drop down field

Very strange problem that seemed to show up after installation of Flash player 9
But that idea is based on the old saying "what was done just before it stopped working"...

What happens is that when I select the drop down field on the top of the Internet Explorer window (trying to see previous visited sites) IE just stops and notifies that a problem has occurred and that it is looking for help. A few seconds later - No help is found and therefore Internet Explorer is being shut down.
Sometimes it just freez and needs to be shut down manually with the use of the Task Manager.

Everything is working fine as long as I don't use the drop down field.

Please note that exactly the same happens when downloading a file through IE and the 'select-where-to-store-the-file-window' shows up, and I click the drop down field in that window...

As simple as that, but very disturbing

I'm using Ultimate x64, SP1

When searching the eventviewer the following shows up:

iexplore.exe7.0.6001.1800047918f11mso.dll_unloaded0.0.0.0485ae817c000000510d3f8a04d801c91dc043ae40e3

In short it points at a application error in the module mso.dll

I have searched this forum without any luck.
So anyone with a suggestion????

Thanks
Thomas

Hi anderssonbros,

The MSO.dll is from Microsoft Office, Have you updated office to the latest ServicePack? You can also try disabling the Office Addon via Tools> Manage Addons> Enable/Disable Addon then selecting "Addons that have been used by internet explorer" then finding any office Addons and disabling them ;)

AHA!
I'm using both Office 2003 and 2007
(the whole package from 2007 and Frontpage from 2003).
I do have the latest patches/SP for 2003 for sure, but haven't checked the 2007 for any SP.
(Think I should have been notified by the updater by now if that was the case)

Good idea with the addons! - will do & test!

I'll be back!

Thanks!
