| Vista Business 32bit | All Home Folder on Server 2003 with same name Hi all, I got a problem with a Server 2003 and computer with Vista Business 32bit. Situation: All user have a home folder on a Windows 2003 Server and I redirect the "My Documents" folder from Vista on this folder. Problem: When I look on the server the folder where the home folder are store, I see all folder for all user with the same name "Documents" and not the logon name from my user. Sample in the attached file. If I rename the folder "Documents" with something other all folder have after the same name again. All computer with Windows XP do not make this problem, the folder name stay with the user logon name. Can someone help me? Thanks PS: I hope that my english is not to bad, I'm from Switzerland |

| Vista Business 32bit | Re: All Home Folder on Server 2003 with same name Hi Gegervision, Yes I found the solution to this Problem. It's really simple. In the folder "Documents" you find a file "Desktop.ini". Edit this file: [.ShellClassInfo] LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21770 IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-112 IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll IconIndex=-235 and you can change many Info on this Icone and Foldernames. In my case I delete the file to found again the rigth foldername. |

| Vista Business | Re: All Home Folder on Server 2003 with same name The folder(s) "Documents" on my server do not have a desktop.ini in them. These folders are again synced with the server on all our laptops. The duplicate named folders are only happening with 3 of our Vista users. We have 8 other Vista users that this is not happening to. All others are XP Pro. What am I missing if I do not see the desktop.ini file? |

| Vista Business 32bit | Re: All Home Folder on Server 2003 with same name Did you change the option in Explorer to view the hidden and system files? In Windows Explorer check Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) |
