Very Slow downloading

Hey,

I've read one of the forum from here about how to make the download better than ever but when i did what i was told, the speed of my downloading didnt change.
what i did is i go to the "Control Panel","Security","Allo program through windows firewall","i check what are the programs that i wanted" and the very last,i "ADD PORT", since im using bittorent,the port thati write is"6881" but still no effect?

Can anybody help me??
i using DLINK modem/router!!

Did you add the port to both tcp and udp for the ports in your firewall and in your router if possible. Also that port is the most common port used for torrent traffic try changing to a higher number.
