| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Remote Desktop /Formatting My laptop is using windows xp pro i think. Anyways its screwed up with viruses n stuff so i need to reformat the laptop but cd-rom drive is broke. I have my main computer which is on vista premium. Can i in some way setup a remote connection or some sort of virtual drive to reformat my laptop ?? Thanks |

| vista64 | Re: Remote Desktop /Formatting Not really - technically, there is boot-from-lan, but that's out of the pervue of what you could reasonably accomplish at home. Your only reasonable solution is to either fix/replace your cd-rom drive, or use an external cd-rom drive. It may be possible to install Vista from a large USB thumb-drive, but that is beyond my ken. Perhaps someone else could walk you through that...? |
