AD HOC problem from ultimate to other vista

hi.... there is a problem that i just want to address.....

is it not possible for vista ultimate to connect to vista home or even XP while using an AD HOC connection? because in our class i am the only one who is using a Vista Ultimate and consequently i am the only one not able to connect to our AD HOC network in playing games even though i've already disabled all my firewalls, in connection i mean recieving and sending data. i can connect to the network but no data is recieved and sent.... does anyone have a solution to this? thanks!

More information is required... although, it sounds like you don't have your IP address and gateway configured correctly. Have you tried setting it for DHCP ?

Do the following and get a screenshot of the final step:

1. Click on the Start menu, and select Control Panel.
2. Click on Network and Internet.
3. Click on Network and Sharing Center.
4. Click on Manage network connections on the left side.
5. Double click on Wireless Connection.
6. Click on the Details button.
