Hide Network Status

Hey everyone,
How can i hide my online status from my network. I dont want my mother to see that i am online so i need to make it hidden.
Any Help?

Is Moms using Vista too? If she is, you're good to go.

Click Start/Network/Network and Sharing Center. In the left pane select "manage network connections". Right click on your LAN, select properties. Elevate privileges. Uncheck Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder. Hit ok to save your changes.

Disabling the responder tells your Vista to ignore the requests from the other Vista machines on the network to say, "hey, I'm here".

Hey Fumz,
She has network magic though. Will this also block that program from informing her that i was online? or am online? and she would never hit me hahaha.
