1 Vista machine that can't ping various devices on same subnet

Hi,

I have 2 Vista machines...one behaves somewhat normally, but another that doesn't want to play nice.

I can access the Internet, ping local XP machines, but when I try to access several NON-PC machines that are wireless...that is where the trouble begins.

I am just trying to ping that machines locally and they wont respond fully. I mean,
they don't time-out...then just give the dreaded "Destination Host is Unreachable"
which is not true as other machines on the network can see them.

I have tried to add ARP entries manually (which it won't let me do) It is driving me bonkers and I have been looking high and low for a solution. It just doesn't make any sense to me, especially since I have another machine that works just fine

Any help or pointers would be much apprectiated

Ok...here we go. NAT subnet 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1 gateway. Netgear WPN824 v2 all vanilla...nothing
fancy. Oh...and an old 3Com 10/100 switch tying everything
together on the wired end.

2 XP Home boxes DHCP
192.168.1.6
192.168.1.4

2 Vista Home Premium DHCP
192.168.1.9 (bad guy) Can't ping the 3 wireless devices.
192.168.1.2 This one works great!

1 Linksys Wireless Camera

1 Buffalo wireless game adapter

Any thoughts?

Yeah...nothing fancy...but I noticed that the machine that is having the problem also had a weird issue with DHCP when I first took it out of the box...so I manually added the address for a while. When I started to have this problem..I switched it back over to DHCP...but it didn't make a difference.
