| vista 32 | Mapping drive issues in Vista "the network is not present or started" "The specified network provider name is invalid" uninstall/reinstall drivers failed, changing bindings, sfc/scannow failed, ssafe mode, last known good, uninstalling and reinstalling software recently changed, windows updates etc. uninstalling client for msn, etc etc etc. Fix was: change \HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order The value data for the ProviderOrder value name on a typical Vista workstation should be: LanmanWorkstation,RDPNP,webclient Whatever happened this had no settings at all. |
