connecting to my WEP network

This is BS and this shouldn't be this hard. I have a secure WEP encripted wireless network. I have 2 other laptops and 2 desktops connected to it. Ever other connection only needed the WEP key to connect. My new vista laptop wants a username, a password, and a domain name.

There is no username. There is no password but the hexadecimal key, and exactly which domain name does it want? Don't give me a runaround reply that you need all the model numbers of my hardware. This is a basic question. I have apples and #@&! vista is asking for oranges.

I thought those comercials were unfair propaganda, but a hour into my 1st vista experence I'm pissed. I am not a rookie. I put together my first system before there was a internet. This shouldn't be this hard.

Sounds like you are trying to connect to something connected to the network. Right click on the network & sharing center in the taskbar beside the clock. Click connect to network and then select yours.
