I have searched and search all through-out google and all these threads. Still cant find an answer.

I have a wireless Desktop running Xp home SP3 and a wired Vista home premium SP1.
I have put them both on MSHOME for the workplace, and i have installed the hotfix for the LLTD on the xp computer.
I want to be able to share files from my wired Vista computer to my Wireless xp computer.
I have called hp support, but they were no help at all telling me that there is a limited service something and they can not help me.

Please tell me what to do and how i can link the two together.

**Also, on the Xp computer i see my vista computer but when i click to access it under my network places, but it gives the following error.....

..

Mshome is not accessable. You might not have permision to use this network reasorce. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available.

..

This message come from the Xp desktop when trying to access the Vista desktop.

Actually sharing something, rather than just file sharing turned on? Same users and passwords entered on all pcs? Network discovery on? In setting up my home network, I found I had to turn off the firewalls temporarily before trying to see the Vista machine in the XP My Network Places, then turn the firewall back on once it succeeded. The following page has a quite good treatment of File and Printer Sharing in Vista, complete with screenshots:
