Large file transfer timing out vista to vista

Both my machines are vista 64 ultimate.
Both fully updated.
One is only a few days old.

The problem is transferring large files. the transfer hangs up not too long into the transfer. And even smaller files.

I believe the problem lies in the new vista machine. I cant send large files to the other vista machine, or my XP machine. But the other Vista machine file transfers work just fine.
Both Firewalls are off for what its worth.

Help, Seriously frustrated.

Wanted to add that I can send files to the new machine from the older vista machine.
strange that I cant copy from, only send to.

I guess there's just no fix, other than Linux
