| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can not use port 113 I would enable the firewall. Log in using the administrator account. See if UAC is blocking access. What are you using ftp for? You can add the port into the firewall's exception list. tcp/113 is the ident port for for sendmail. You can add it as an exclusion. You will also need to allow it on your router. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can not use port 113 You can disable UAC. I don't recommend this. I don't remember off hand how to do it. Check your help file. It was a switch and a reboot. Try it from your administrator account. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can not use port 113 What do you need it for? Can you access the information via HTML? I did some google searches. It seems like Vista does not have a ftp daemon that accepts 113. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Can not use port 113 Vista is not XP. I would consider dual booting XP and Vista. Install XP first and create a second partition for Vista. Vista security is not as easy to bypass. I don't go to private FTP sites. |
