Alright so I have an interesting problem. A few days ago I decided i wanted to open up so ports on my router for my xbox 360 so I would no longer have a strict NAT. Everything was going fine and I opened all the correct ports, set up static IP for the Xbox and PC but I still didn't have an open NAT. While browsing my router's setting I noticed something that says NAT feature disable/enable so I figured this must be it so I hit disable. After I did that the internet no longer works on my Vista Home Premium 64bit machine and on my xbox but works fine on my XP machine.
I've tried reinstalling vista, updating drivers for NIC, I even took the router out of the picture and tried plugging directly into the modem but to no avail. I've set all the settings back to how they were (to my knowledge) before I tried messing with everything ie. put all the network settings back on automatic instead of manual. I'm really not sure what to do. Also when I plug the xbox into the modem and try to connect it says somethign about not being able to find the DNS server but all the settings are back to automatic and I've unplugged the modem multiple times.
I'm pretty much stumped and any help would be greatly appreciated.
