"Your listening port is blocked."

PLEASE help!
When I read a thread posted by "Brink", I thought I had found the Holy Grail! I have struggled with "Your listening port is blocked" to the point of a breakdown; I’ve tried EVERYTHING under the sun (short of human sacrifice...for now) and NOTHING has worked. Everything would include changing, adding, modifying, etc. via:
1. Windows firewall
2. Linksys WRT54G
3. Portforwarding.com
I have to believe there is someone who was triumphant over the brain sucking "Block".

Thanks for the help!
