| ultimate x64 | Mapping two Vista 64-bit desktops...help?!? Hi, I have had one desktop running vista for a year now and previously i had my XP hard drive mapped to my vista machine to enable file transfer and so i could share the files throughout my house. More recently i purchashed another desktop also running visay 64-bit. I wanted to do the same thing with my two vista machines. I have them on the same network, took the password off of both machines, enabled file sharing, file sharing permissions for the folders i wanted to share. They can see each other but every time i try to map it, vista asks me for UN and PW. For the UN i type the host name\account name and leave password blank because i don't have a password and i constantly get denied. I just don't understand because I mapped XP drive to Vista so easily but i'm unable to map to vista machines together. Can someone please help me? |

| Windows 7 | Re: Mapping two Vista 64-bit desktops...help?!? HI, Set the password for user name and try. Because vista will automatically disable the user accounts which is having no password. |
