Hi Vista forums;
First post here...yay

I bought 2 new HP desktops 3 weeks ago and ever since I have not been able to fix my networking issues, and so this morning I finally called HP and guess what, they charge for Network help. So shocking the fact that 3-4 years ago I could still get network help for free under my brand new 1-year warranty but anyway I thought I'd try posting my problem.

Here is the dilemma:

Vista HP Desktop #1

Vista HP Desktop #2

XP Desktop

2 XP Laptops

------------------------------

All computers above cannot access files of the 2 new Vista PC's. Everyone can see the computers show up on the network and can enter (I disabled all the password junk) and see the shared files and printers, but when it comes to actually going into them the errors I get are:

From the XP's: Is not accessible;, you must contact administrator, you don't have permissions etc..

From the Vista's: Check spelling of name or check administrator for permissions etc

Also, on one of the Vista, I have shared a printer and the XPs can see and add it as network printer, but not the 2nd Vista...

I have Not disabled the Windows Firewall and I do have Norton on every computer and have checked all the settings in Norton as best as I could..

Your help and advice is greatly appreciated!!!!
