I cannot add remove features of windows vista as i want to install IIS on my computer but after 5 days struggle doing all possible solution on internet(Every body giving different flavours of solutions on net). I was unable to add features. I tried to add remove other features but same problem that progress windows appears but after some time there is message that not all program successfully installed. However an article come into my consideration written last year by Adding Windows Features Fails on Vista which told that its not IIS problem but add/remove features problem as microsft fails to solve this bug and he gave cause of multiple languages but I did not install/update any additional language except english but i am facing the problem.
I have tried to contact microsoft via email and chat but first of all they ask to submit bunch of dollars to get chat with their representative.
As I am not crazy to install IIS or asp.net of microsoft, just studying and want to complete assignment. Previously i worked with php, jsp thats work fine without wasting time.
Can anybody help me ?
I have running vista ultimate addition on dual core with 2 gb of ram. all updates are installed except languages.
or anybody can help as i succesfull to install IIS on xp but when I run http://localhost their is prompt for user name and password. I did not use any login or password during login windows.
