| Vista Home Premium | Pinging Self Doesn't Work Hello, If I try to ping my own machine it comes back with some hexacode garbage, instead of my ip address. If I try to ping another machine on the LAN, it can't find it. However, if I go to my XP machine and ping this machine, it gives me the right ip address. I can ping Internet addresses. I don't see any firewall (Norton) up on my machine. I want to set up a local server on the LAN. I have Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1 Thanks for any help! ...John |
