| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Gigabit wired copies faster in one direction Hi guys. No network afficionado so I need help. Just set up a Gigabit wired between a Vista64 machine with the built-in Gigabit interface and a Vista 32 bit PC with a Gigabit PCI card. Copy to the PCI card is @44 to 48 MB/sec. Copy to the Vista64 PC is only @18 to 27 MB/sec. I'm wondering if there's some settings I should check for. For instance, should I have Flow Control enabled on both PCs? The send and receive buffers in the network properties for each were already set to the max. Just wondering why the PC with the slower HD can receive that much faster(or maybe it's sending slower?) Edit: moderator can close. Since updating the PCI nic driver I'm getting transfers that reflect what the HD on each machine can serve up. Looks ok now.
