have you ever bought something of the internet and in the address bar has that little padlock sign to symbolize encrypted internet conncetion?can you make it so that there is always an encrypted connection or can you only do that when another site allows it?

Encryption is a two way connection. In order to encrypt, each side has to "pre-agree" how to encrypt and the passcodes to use so the other side can decrypt the data. These are typically setup using certificates on the open web. (There are LOTS of ways to use encryption, would take about a week to cover them all, so speaking about the most common method you are seeing)

If you always want to encrypt *your end* of the link, then use a remote access to a server, but from there it would likely be unencrypted, especially once it hits the open net.

Are you concerned about your link being compromised, or do you have some special need to secure your data? If so, send me a PM and I will give you more options.

It's not impossible, but highly impractical, as it would require the setup I listed above.

If you don't have any specific, sensitive stuff you're trying to encrypt, then just look for the lock any time you are submitting info such as placing an order, personal data, etc.
