Wireless Internet Connection fail

ISSUE:
Ok I'm really frustrated with this. I have no idea whats going on.
I'll be browsing and my internet will start to slowly die and then cease.
and then it becomes like a car without gas. You can let that engine just turn and turn and turn but it's never going to fire.

SYMPTOMS:
Internet Browses fine > Internet starts to run slow > Internet Stops completely > Icon on task bar still has internet globe on it > repair and diagnose resets network adapter > globe goes away and shows that the network has local access only > stays like that for hours
1. Cant access router
2. Cant access internet browser sites
3. Cant connect through 3rd party applications

STEPS TAKEN:
1. Reinstalled Wireless drivers
2. observed registry files to see correct IP address
3. repair and diagnose?
4. restarted router
5. reloaded router firmware
6. set router to factory defaults (this sometimes works)

CONFLICTING IDEAS:
1. Windows 7 on the other partition works flawlessly
2. Computer in the other room on a wired connection works flawlessly
3. G1 internet speed works flawlessly

I'm out of ideas. Someone please throw me another one.

Hello Spartan, and welcome. Thank you for the GREAT post about the problem. Best I have seen yet. :)

First, do you have another adapter you can try?
Second, are you sure you have the right driver? For instance, the x64 bit when you need the x86 bit?

No problem, I figured if I eliminate variables to the problem it could take less time. I've been helping alot of people out on the 7 forum and wish people would lay it out like that haha it would help problem solving out a ton i think.

Yes I do, but I'd probablly have to go look through some drawers to find it and its old, but should work, in theory.

I supposed I should have added my operating system. I have 64bit. I also tried both the Windows driver for it and the Netgear driver for it.
The card is a WPN311.
Thinking about it though, I never cleaned the drivers for it, although I have no idea what program I'd use to clean up networking drivers.

Yeah, so you know how it is then. :)

Well it might be worth it to try the other network adapter.

What company made the adapter? Netgear? And for future reference, the windows driver should be more than sufficient, and in some cases, better than the card driver.
