WOL not cooperating

I've been running Vista since RC1, but only recently been needing to use the WOL feature. I have 3 machines in my house, one running Windows Home Server, another with Win 7, and then my primary with Ultimate 64. I have a WOL program installed on my home server that allows me to access my systems from anywhere via the remote desktop. The problem I'm having however, is that while my Win 7 machine will WOL without any problems, my Vista box refuses to wake up. I have only successfully woken the machine once, and I think that was primarily because it wasn't completely asleep. Both the Vista and 7 box are nearly identical in hardware, both have the same motherboard with the same NIC, a Realtek 8111 onboard. Less importantly CPUs are AMD 64s (one quad, one dual), and they both have 4 gigs DDR2. The boards are configured identically as well. I have gone into the device manager and configured both machines to wake from magic packets or other form of WOL command. Is there something I'm missing in Vista, that they did away with in 7?
