cookies not working?

No problems then suddenly with cookies enabled in both IE8 and FF309 all the sites I am registered with and visit constantly fail to logon.
The username and passwords are there, but I have to click the login to enter the website

This is very frustrating for a blog I go to 30 times a day and my tv and weather and many others.
I have gone over my McAfee settings (the macfee that comes with comcast) a hundred times and turned it off and that just doesnt seem to be it.
My other Vista machine running the same software does not have this problem on the same router.
