| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | Virgin Broadband Upgrade I am about to upgrade from 10mb to 20mb with Virgin broadband. My current set up is a Motorola SB4100 and a Netgear 614G Router. Currently I have one PC with XP wired direct to the router and one destop PC running Vista by wireless. 2 other laptops one running XP the other Vista conncted wireless. When I come to change I understand I will need to upgrade my modem courtesy of Virgin but not my Netgear router. Is there any value in having the modem wired to the Vista PC directly instead of the XP PC? Are the settings to get a higher speed dependant on your PC settings? i would appreciate your help and comments on the above deejon |
