Internet has crashed

This morning my IPod seemed to have caused Vista to crash. I had the blue screen.
I rebooted to a past date and Vista corrected itself. However I got a message that my printer was no longer operable and I cannot connect to the internet.
What do I do? ( I am a novice, so please use language I will understand) Thanks!

Re: Internet has crashed

Hi faith and Welcome to Vista Forums.
Unplug the internet cable, turn off your computer and your DSL/cable modem. wait for 2 mins. turn both of 'em back on. Once you are at the desktop, plug the internet cable back and see if you are able to connect to internet.

Re: Internet has crashed

Hi faith1186,
Try to check the drivers for the internet - you need type Device Manager in start search and then check if there are any Yellow ?,! or Red X, if not check in safe mode with networking (Press F8 when the system is starting up) and then check in safe mode weather you are able to go online.
If not try to restore the system to a previous date and then check -

Hope that helps...
