| Vista x64 | Wireless says Local & Internet, still no internet works! I have an eMachine that belongs to my niece, it has Vista Home Premium x64 and a linksys USB adapter for wireless. There are two exact computers in the house, both with the same USB adapters. I have shut off the firewall after being unable to access the internet with IE or Firefox. I have noticed that the windows updates are allowed access but that's it, I can see packets being sent and received in the connection status, so I know it actually has a good connection. I also did a system restore today and went back about a month and the browser worked fine for a while, until I closed it and reopened it. There are several failed updates in the update history and I was wondering if that could cause such a problem. Thanks for any help. |
