| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Firewire network connection Is it true that Vista does not support IEEE1394? I would like a fast (for video) connection to my XPSP3 Athlon computer (which has an IEEE1394 card) from my new Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista 32 bit which also has an IEEE1394 card for importing video to Adobe Premiere Elements 4. Is there no way round this if it is the case? |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit SP2 | Re: Firewire network connection I have Vista X64 and we have an old video camera that uses firewire , i fitted a pci firewire add on card to my motherboard and it works fine , just plug in the camcorder and the autorun window pops up , ive had zero issues. I know somebody else here had issues with his printer via firewire and Vista but i htink that was due to the printer drivers not the O/S , maybe check first? |
