| window vista basic | Ping,FTP,tracert is not working Hi, I have window vista basic.When i use ping,tracert,FTP etc... command on command prompt it does not work and a message come 'ping','tracert'... is not recognized as an internalor externalcommand,operable program or batch file.Is path is not proper. What path should i give.Please Explain . |

| Win7x64 | Re: Ping,FTP,tracert is not working If you search your \windows folder for ping.exe, is it there? Either the executables have been somehow deleted or moved, or your PATH variable is messed up to the point where the commands won't work unless you're in the exact same directory where the respective executable is located. I'm guessing it's the latter. What do you get if you type simply PATH on a command prompt? |
