Problem with the network!

Hello,
Once I finally solved the problem with the games, I encountered a new problem.
The problem is the Internet suddenly stops pass, but ONLY the browser stops working.
But for example the Messenger working.
When I turn off the network and connecting again it's does not work, When I see a diagram of a network connecting there is a X of the computer connect to the Internet.
Only doing a Reset to the computer is a solution..

Someone has a REAL solution to this annoying problem?
(Sorry with spelling problem..)

DC, you must remember that in order for us to be able to help (or try to help) we need as much information as you can give us. My English is not very good but the folks here still try to help me when I need it so don't let that discourage you from posting.

Go to the USER CP option and fill out your Computer Specs, this way, you don't have to be typing it every time you ask for help.

I am also having an issue with internet connectivity but your seems to be a weird one indeed. I am going to have to blame it to a new Vista update because I have ran out of ideas or things to try but still... without info from you, it will be hard to help

OK, this is what I would do since you say you believe it was after doing a "Windows Update", correct?

Go ahead and do a Restore Point to before you did that update and see what happens... if the problem persists, then you will know that the SP1 update was not the culprit.

If that doesn't work, we'll try something else.

Other things I would try:

1.- Shut down the PC, disconnect the Network cable, wait a few secs and connect back... Start the PC again.

2.- Reset router or cable modem

3.- Download fresh drivers for your NICs, uninstall the current drivers and install new drivers

4.- Go to church, get some holy water, say a few prayers and check PC again ;)

I think I have solved my issue (at least has been stable for a few hours now). I uninstalled my network card and rebooted and let windows install drivers and we will see what happens- good so far!

This is not the first time I read about this, hmmm, could it be that the Nvida nForce drivers are the culprit to all our problems?

I am going to have to experiment with this in hopes that it will clear my problem with connectivity after waking pc from sleep.

Still working stable so no new drivers for me! I'm beginning to think it is nvidia related!

Update- was good for a week but now is back to the same bs. Don't know if it's related but my usb mouse just quit working so I got another on order (picked up a cheapie for now). Also got a huge hd so I can back up some stuff and maybe it's time to blow away the stuff on this drive and start fresh- last resort tho!
