bluetooth problem

whenever i switch on my bluetooth..it does not appear on the tray/taskbar anymore..i have to search it on the start menu for bluetooth options..

how to make the bluetooth appear on the tray like before..i might accidentally have done something i do not know that led to this..

help anyone?

This may not be your answer but I'll give it a shot. If this fails, you can always try Uninstalling/Installing and hope that you get it working again.

Click on the Windows Orb, type MSCONFIG, the System Configuration Utility will open up (at least, that's what is called in XP. Sorry, I am not at home right now ;)).

Click on the Selective Startup Option, then, click on the Service Tab, tick Hide all Microsoft Services and check to see if Any Bluetooh services pop up there, if so... select them (tick).

Now, click on the Startup tab and look for any bluetooh entries here as well and select them.

Restart and hope for the best. Let us know if that works for you.

i tried your suggestion..didn't work..

but i went to the bluetooth setting and options..and there it is..i just ticked 'show bluetooth in the notification area'..

damn i was stupid..:confused:
