Vista - Code 10 Device will not start

I've just got my advent 4213 laptop back from the Techguys where it was getting a new motherboard as the other had failed. The video, sound and network adapter cards had all stopped working.

When I got it back, I tested it and found that the video and sound cards were now working fully but the network adapter. ( Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) was coming up with Code 10, the device cannot start. I found this in the device manager.

What should I do to make the device work again? I've tested all the drivers softwares and that isn't the problem.

I'm operating windows vista home premium 32bit on this particular computer.

Well, you got 2 choices really... 1 easy, 1 a bit more complex if you're not a PC guru.

The easy way... Take it back to the shop and have them fix it, you said you just got it back, right? Unless you did something foolish, it should be within warranty from the work they did.

The complex way... Download fresh and up to date drivers for your video, sound and NICs, uninstall all the drivers you have at the moment, reboot the laptop, once at the desktop, go back and install all the new drivers. Make sure that this time around, you install with "Run as Administrator".
