| Vista Home Premium x64 | dial up connection I live in a rural area so still have dial up. I use AOL 9.1, Vista x64 on an HP Pavilion Notebook. Everything worked fine for a month. Now, when attempting to go online, it won't connect. I uninstalled and reinstalled AOL..still won't work. It finds the modem but when it attempts to dial for the numbers it says there is no dial tone. I can hear the dial tone, but as it dials, I can still hear the dial tone in the background. I did the modem checks and everything supposedly is working. I went to AOL and they say it's a Vista problem. Does anyone have a suggestion? Alex |
