| vista ultimate | Remoting in to Office System I have been looking for hours the process to remote into ones office. The IT guys gave me a cd, to me to 1) start, 2) Run, 3) type in MSTSC, gave me a routing number and said I'd have no problems. I have two machines, 1) with Server 2003, 2) the other with Vista Ultimate. I have been unsessful with both. I don't think I am trying to login from one PC to another. I believe I am logging into the office server. Question: 1) Is this process the same as remote access from one PC to another? 2) Is the process the same on both Window Platforms 3) Can you any one help guide me? Grateful in advance. RD |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Remoting in to Office System To anwser qusetion one and two yes as far as a guide goes the process is pretty straight forward 1) start > run > type in MSTSC 2) when the program load type in the ip address or computer name 3)after the connection to the remote computer is made log in with your user name and password If you are trying to log in from home to your office or place of work if you dont have a VPN or some other kinda of remote access technology the it wont work. The RDP or Remote Desktop is mainly to display the desktop it still needs a medium to transmit the data. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask write us back and tell us how it went |
