My internet has been turning off on me randomly for a good 5 seconds, and it happens daily. I figure it was my internet I set up at home, so I'd connect to another network. Same thing happens. The little internet icon, with the two computers and a picture of the world, the world would randomly disappear which causes my computer to not respond to the internet. Could anyone please help me with this problem? My access is Local btw.

I'm actually a computer noob. All I could say is that it's Linksys, um password protected? Thing is I don't think it's just my network .. but the computer itself. Well I recently restarted my laptop and now it's working fine. But a couple of hours of using it, it'll just randomly turn off again.

I think the problem is with your ISP. Have you tried using another laptop and see if the internet goes on and off.

Try also running to safe mode with networking, and see if your connection fluctuates. :D

Judging from no complaints from my brother it seems fine. But there have been problems with the internet before. Just not like this.

So your laptop is the main cause. Have you tried booting in safe mode with networking? Did you connection still acted weird while in safe mode?

If you haven't tried it yet, please do, so that we can examine and trace the root cause of the error that you're experiencing. :)
