Hi,

I have a very common problem (seems many have the same in this forum).

I have two computers connected to a router (DLink - D300):
A laptop (running Vista Home Prem.) and a desktop (running on XP Pro SP2).

I am using DHCP on my network. The router is connected to DSL modem. I can access internet from both computers.

Connectivity:
Laptops uses Wireless
Desktop is connected thru LAN port (NIC).

I have attached my Network Map and Vista Sharing options screenshots.

I can ping both the computers to & fro. But cannot view the XP computer from Vista and similarly cant view Vista laptop from the desktop.

Both the computers are in the same workgroup MSHOME.

I have removed Norton Internet Security from the both the computers but still cannot view each other.

In both computers, file & printer sharing is enabled.

I have enabled Netbios over TCP in both the computers, but in desktop (WinXP) it shows disabled when I run ipconfig /all.

I am attaching both the ipconfig screenshots also.

Please help!!!! its urgent........

Need help!!!!
