Wifi asking for user/pass

If I set up the wireless network as unsecured, Vista notebook connects automatically. If I set it up with 64-bit WEP security and try to connect, I am asked for Username, Passord and Logon Domain before it ever asks for WEP key.
XP notebook connects happily so it seems the user/pass request is coming from Vista, not the wifi router.

Where do I turn this request off?

Regards

Doug
