| Newbie | Help with slow network "identifying"? Hi all. I have an ASUS M50V series laptop, and a wireless router with a DSL connection, and am running Vista 32 bit Home Premium. My connection is inordinately slow, because every time I click on a URL, the network says it is "identifying" my connection. It does this constantly. In the Network and Sharing Panel map, there is an "identifying" graphic between the graphic of my latop and the internet. My question: is there any way to hurry the connection up while it's "identifying" or make it cut this out somehow? The connection is very slow; it takes 30 seconds or a full minute sometimes to go to a URL I've clicked while it's busy "identifying". I'm hoping this is due to some settings I can change. Thank you in advance. |
