| Vista Business 64 bit | There might be a problem with one or more network adapters Okay so the other day I got my laptop for college and it came with Windows XP on it. Well today I decided to upgrade it to vista business 64 bit which also came with the laptop. Well before I could easily connect to our wireless internet but now with vista installed it's like the computer doesn't pick up ANY wireless signals. It says install networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded. When you do the Windows Network Diagnostics. I even pluged in an ethernet cable and it still won't connect to the internet? What did I do to my computer? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: There might be a problem with one or more network adapters First off you should check to see if the drivers for the network adapters are installed correctly. right click on "my computer", then click on "manage". this will open the computer managment console. click the icon for Device Manager. Open the tab for "Network Adapters". There shouldn't be any yellow triangles under any devices. If there are, you need to update the drivers, which should be on the DVD for Vista. |

| Vista Business 64 bit | Re: There might be a problem with one or more network adapters There are only two devices under Network Adapters and they are Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) and then (RFCOMM Protocol TDI). Neither have yellow triangles. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: There might be a problem with one or more network adapters sounds to me like your wireless network device has not even been installed. you should have 2 more devices...a NIC (Network Interface Card) and a Wireless device with something listed as 802.1x a/b/g. You should have a driver CD that should have drivers for your network adapters. Another method is to look online for a Vista compatible driver for your network adapters. you will need the make/model of the adapters for this though. What make/model of computer do you have, and are you still running XP or just vista? |
