| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Multiple Network Issues Alright guys, im looking for some help. To make a long story short, i bought a windows vista computer from my best buy then i had the OS redone and changed to 32 bit which i regret. In this process i purchased a netgear router to give me multiple connections. The netgear broke and now i went and bought a Linksys Route by Cisco. I cannot install the router because my PC keeps picking up on the mulitple networks and im trying to figure out on how to delete the first network i had. (OWNER-PC) and trying to put the new Network, (Linksys WTR54GS). How do i eliminate the older Network in replacement for the new one? |

To delete a previous wireless connection simply connect your laptop to the router via ethernet. You should now have a connection now to be able to configure your router(through linksys web base interface through your browser) and existing and new wireless connections by going to network sharing>manage wirless networks>then right click on existing wirless networks. If you need a little more detail instuction see the instruction manual for you model router below. Hope this helps |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Multiple Network Issues My connection is not Wireless. Its solid ethernet. Also i cannot find your Wireless stuff your speaking of. The problem is when you go Start>Network and then it shows me OWNER-PC and then when i put the linksys on it shows the LInksys as well. So when i try to finish install the Linksys they keep showing up simultaniously. OWNER-PC then Linksys then both and then they disappear and start the pattern again. Also, if i go to Start>Network>Network and Sharing Center. WHen i try to install the router it will show a connection and give me a network name. Then it will change to Multiple Networks followed by Identifying then gives the network number again and repeats this pattern. I figure if i eliminate the OWNER-PC from the Network Window it will only register one network and all of these patterns will go away. |

| vista x64/vista home premium 64 bit | Re: Multiple Network Issues study pages 12 thru 25 of the manual(below) of your particular router and I think you should be able to get it working. I am having a problem understanding the way you are explaining your problem. The manual is pretty easy to understand Or if you want to try describing your problem in better terms and details that may help. Last edited by makinit70462; 07-14-2009 at 05:20 PM.. |
