no mate do it when vista is installed , the vista install will wipe the hard drive anyway and install its own generic drivers to get everthing up and running to begin with , remember im going on specs i got for his make and model of PC from the internet , thats where i got the info it was a 680i chipset but i cant be 100% certain thats correct , you'll have to make sure he checks first
I cant beleive a company like alienware who sell such overpriced pc's wouldnt even take the time to link you that driver , that is shockingly bad customer service , i would make sure your friend and his friends never buy or recommend alienware again
