| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Reset my Router and Laptops can't Connect I bought a new laptop and it needed a password to connect. I didn't know the password and a site told me to reset my router. So I did this and now neither of my laptops can connect to it. What should I do? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Reset my Router and Laptops can't Connect Without the password for the router, they wont connect. Talk to the person who has the router and get the password. if it is your router, call your ISP and see if they will reset it for you. I know my cable modem/router can be reset by the cable tv company. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Reset my Router and Laptops can't Connect No, you don't understand. I reset my router, but now my connection isn't even in the list of wireless networks nearby. Did resetting the router erase the wireless settings and how can I fix it? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Reset my Router and Laptops can't Connect Right I think I might have a soulution mate, but it doe's Depend on the make of your router. 1st do you have a ethernet cable? If you have a normal PC then take it out of that, Then plug it directly into your laptop from the router, It should automatically connect to the internet, Now once connected go onto the internet address bar and type in: 192.168.1.1 Then if it asks you for a username and password there both "admin", Then once accessed have a look at the navagation for the wireless section, Then activate the wireless internet, Then if you want to have a key for the wireless internet, type the same key you see on screen into your laptop/netbook, if you don't click on the drop down menu or what ever you have and choose no password. If this does not work then please post the router make and model, Please keep me updated on the situation, thanks Jamie |
