Vista - Problem after joining domain

hi,

I have a problem with my machine hanging at "Please wait" for 15 minutes after I join a domain. I am able to log into the domain when the prompt finally arrives but am unable to ping my laptop, if i boot in safe mode with networking, I have none of these problems. In the event view I can see the following errors but am completly lost?
