I need to place an icon on everyone's desktop that shares a computer. In XP I used "All users", on Vista it should be Public Desktop. The icon does not appear to do anything with. Anyone know how to make it appear? Where can the attribute be changed if it isn't visible anywhere?

OS is Windows Vista Enterprise, 32bit

While in the bublic folder, press alt button on your key board, it will bring the toolbar. Click tools > folder options > view and select show hidden files, folders and drives and give okay. Now you will be able to see the desktop folder.

Later you can change the attribute :)
