Hi guys

I have a desktop and a laptop on my network. When I use the command "shutdown /i" on my laptop to try and shut down my desktop I get an error "COMPUTER NAME: Access is denied. <5>" How can I configure my desktop "Vista Home Premium" to allow remote shut down?

Thanks

Hi Jammie!
To shut down a remote computer, you have to use /m switch, not /i.

"shutdown /?" says that /i will launch a GUI for remote shutdown. /m will do it from the command line. They both will produce the same result and the same error.
