Vista - HELP Internet with Vista

Can Someone please give me a little help? This is what happened

Yesterday my motorola ATT was discconected without my knowledge. When i noticed my internet went out i went and plugged everything back in. At that time my laptop(vista) was the only one that would work. The desk top in which the motorola and netgear device is hooked up to would not connect to internet. My husbands computer would not connect also. Kept getting the message cannot connect to internet. SO i went and reset everything (unplug and then replugged after 30 secs or so) at that time both laptops went out and the desktop was working. Did it again and now everything is out again except my husbands lap top.
We were getting a conflict with IP address's and now on my computer it seems that its missing all the wireless settings. When i go run a CMD and IPCONFIG i get that everything says media disconnected, no IP address anywhere to be found

Can anyone help? I have all my work on my laptop and dont even knw where to start with vista
